Been a while since I last posted much of anything. Having carpal tunnel has been a real hindrance, but I do have news.
No, I never did go to physical therapy. After a week off work and applying ice, pain meds, wrist braces, rest, repeat, I did improve a lot. For those that did support me through that helped pay the bills that having to take work off made it so I could not. Again, I thank you all. As of right now I am still not at full strength, and I've been sporadically been able to do more plushies than that half a day I had been doing.
I got a new job. It literally just fell into my lap and I am very grateful for that. The fact that they hired me at more then I was making at best buy after 2 years with them and they wanted me as full time just blew my mind. So now I'm a cashier at Jiffy Lube. I'm really enjoying the guys there, and the actual job is both easy and fun. NO MORE WORKING NIGHTS. I get off at 6pm every day.
I'm very happy.
Hands do hurt/ache/tingle/go numb during certain times during the day, but I'm still really positive.

(Posted may 8th)Well. It's official.
I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I'll just copy what that means so I can type less:
Carpal tunnel syndrome is pressure on the median nerve -- the nerve in the wrist that supplies feeling and movement to parts of the hand. It can lead to numbness, tingling, weakness, or muscle damage in the hand and fingers. Carpal tunnel syndrome is common in people who perform repetitive motions of the hand and wrist. Typing on a computer keyboard is probably the most common cause of carpal tunnel. Other causes include:
Sewing
Driving
Assembly line work
Painting
Writing
That number one cause on the list after typing is sewing...As a lot of you know, I do a lot of. Well, 'did' a lot of. It has really put the breaks on my dream of doing plushies full time so I can leave my day job. I can't afford surgery, but thankfully it isn't to that point yet as long as I wear braces on both my wrists and ice/medicate/rest for a while. Which is why I really need some help because to stop this progressive issue my doctor told me to cut what I did when my hands started hurting and at most do 1/4 or less of that work. He really insisted that I stop, but he understood I was passionate about trying to make my own way out into the world.
He wants me to go to physical therapy. I don't have the money for it even if I agreed, which would cause my hands stress because it is a 20 minute drive on a very bendy highway. Including gas it would be about 25$ every week. That's money I don't have.
What I'm asking for help is for my watchers to either commission me, or buy a plushie from my store. Please enter coupon code "CARPALTUNNELFUND" to receive 5% off anything in my store.

- stretch regularly if you are at a desk - every hour at least, away from your desk
- do not do the prayer stretch - rather place top of hand against top of hand, fingers pointing down (opposite direction of - prayer stretch) - i even sleep this way when i can.
- get a cordless mouse and keyboard - this really helps - you can alternate hands as well as have the mouse in front of your chest instead of far out in front (palm will have less pressure onto desk this way)
- good posture helps
I am going to physical therapy.
This relaxes the muscles of the forearm which normally face the opposite direction, like holding a mouse or when typing on a keyboard.
